Arvin VanHolland, 76, of Dell Rapids passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Reformed Church in Dell Rapids, SD. Interment will be in the Reformed Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM Wednesday with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Minnehaha Funeral Home in Dell Rapids.

Arvin VanHolland was born February 13, 1940 in Luverne, MN to parents Bert and Jennet (Top) VanHolland. He received his education in Sioux Falls, SD. Following graduation he joined the US Army. After his service to his country he attended Barber College, graduating in 1962. Arvin married Carol Vanden Bosch February12, 1963. The couple farmed near Egan, SD. After retirement the couple moved to Dell Rapids and were members of the Reformed Church

Arvin enjoyed car shows, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared his life are his sons, Clint VanHolland, Brookings, SD and Wade VanHolland, Dell Rapids, SD; daughter, Tammie (Jim) Bauer, Elkton, SD; grandchildren, Trevor, Ashley, Dillon, Mason and Gavin; brothers, Brent VanHolland, Iowa and Verlyn (Janice) VanHolland, Dell Rapids; sisters-in-law, Theresa, Lorraine and Verna; several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as many other relatives and friends.

Arvin was preceded in death by his wife, Carol in 2011; parents and brother, Virgil.
