Terry Merle Erickson, age 68, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Garretson, died on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center. Memorial visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm Friday, June 3, 2016, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Garretson.
Terry was born on December 20, 1947, to Lloyd and Ione (Myre) Erickson at Dell Rapids, South Dakota. He grew up in Garretson and attended school there. After school he enlisted in the United States Army in 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1969. After his discharge he lived in Sioux Falls and worked at Missile Muffler and various other jobs. Terry was a member of the Garretson American Legion. He enjoyed doing ceramics and making miniature roll-top desks and other furniture out of clothespins and popsicle sticks.
Survivors include his brothers: Larry (Barb) Erickson of Garretson, and Mike (Julie) Erickson of Sioux Falls, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters: Bernett Furney and Judy Olson.
