Constance “Connie” Leimbach, 92 of Sioux Falls died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Sanford USD Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM Monday, March 21, 2016 at First Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls. Visitation with the family present will be from 3-5:00 PM Sunday at the Church.
Constance Blanche was born August 17, 1923 in Dell Rapids to parents Justin and Tilda (Fersdahl) Nessan. She grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from Washington High School in 1941.
Connie married William J. Leimbach June 25, 1943 in Greeley, Colorado, after which they lived in Sioux Falls. She worked for Sunshine Foods for over 30 years.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. She had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed cards, games and traveling with her family.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Michael (Shirley) Leimbach, and William (Amy) Leimbach, both of Sioux Falls; Marchelle (Milt) Jorgensen, Worthington, Minnesota; Linda Gersten, Santa Barbara, California; Jean (Dean) Nichols, Sioux Falls, Joan (Don) Brust, Casper, Wyoming; and Gregory (Julie) Leimbach; nineteen grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild; a sister, Carmen (Mike) Myers, La Crosse, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Steven and Alan, three brothers and a sister.
