Kimberly (Carlton) Ramse, age 37, of Garretson, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Memorial services will begin at 11:00 am Monday, March 7, 2016, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Garretson. Memorial visitation with the family present will be from 3-5:00 pm Sunday, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Garretson.
Kim was born on February 13, 1979, in Tampa, Florida. She graduated from Garretson High School in 1997. She was employed at Lil Dreamers Learning Center, Palisade Manor, Steve’s Electric, and Gannon Bookkeeping. She was married to Jason Baldridge and Gary Ramse and was blessed with two daughters from these marriages.
Kim was an avid Oakland Raiders fan and enjoyed throwing darts and watching “The Voice” and “Big Brother.” She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the Garretson American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughters: Kelsey Baldridge and Aubrey Ramse; mother, Linda (Jim Hoefert) Johnson, Garretson; grandparents, Ardyce and Lyle Stensland, Sioux Falls; siblings: Chett (Molly) Carlton, Dell Rapids, Lynn Jackson, Vidalia, GA, Christy (Carl) King, Rome, GA, Al (Shannon) Carlton Jr., Sioux Falls, and Lloyd (Jenn) Carlton, Oklahoma City, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her dad, Al Carlton, Sr., and an aunt, Barb Bussey.
