Lyle Leander Johnson, 77, of Sioux Falls passed away suddenly Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, Illinois.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Faith Community Church, Colton.
Lyle was born October 1, 1937 in Badger, South Dakota to parents Alfred and Marie (Paulsen) Johnson. He married Joan Mae Van Liere on January 1, 1966 in Glenview, Illinois.
Lyle was a self-employed handyman and computer technician. He enjoyed all aspects of aviation. A witty person, Lyle also was very humorous.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Joan, Sioux Falls; sons, Robert (Shirley) Stark, Sioux Falls; Randy (Helma) Johnson, Wheeling, Illinois; and Darin (Lucy) Johnson, Richmond, Illinois; daughter, Pamela (Wayne) Neal, Pensacola, Florida; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Diane (Leroy) Stevenson, Sioux Falls; Phyllis Carder, DeKalb, Illinois; brother, Allen (Janet) Johnson, Sioux Falls; sister in law, Darlene Johnson, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Marie Johnson, brother, Wayne Johnson and his parents.
