Donald “Rudy” Eugene Farley, 64, of Waukee, IA, formerly of Sioux Falls passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Renner Lutheran Church in Renner, SD.

Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, November 29th at Minnehaha Funeral Home in Baltic.

Donald was born August 20, 1949 in Sioux Falls to Lester and Gwen (Nustad) Farley. He graduated from Baltic High School in 1967 and then attended Nettleton College in Sioux Falls. He married Carol (Johnson) Hegge on April 12, 1969 and lived in Baltic. Donald later married Karen (McCord) Schellberg on September 12, 1981 and lived in Sioux Falls.

Donald was in the Army National Reserves. He started his sales career at Brown Shoes and then went to the automotive industry. He worked there for over 30 years. Donald enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing golf and fishing. His children and grandchildren were a great joy to him.

Donald is survived by his 5 children, Nicole Matthies of Sioux Falls, Joshua (Cindy) Farley of Burlington, NJ, Darin (Cindy) Farley of Sioux Falls, SD, Danielle Farley of Ortonville, MN and Dana (Chris) Carreon of Waukee, IA; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and brother, Richard (Celia) Farley of Rapid City, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents.
