Vivian C. Rollag, 88, of Brandon, died Monday, May 20, 2013 at Palisade Manor. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Palisade Lutheran Church, rural Garretson, Rock County, Minnesota. Visitation with the family present will be from 5-7:00 PM Wednesday at the church.

Vivian was born July 29, 1924 in Rock County, Minnesota to parents Arnold and Mary (Slieter) Schneekloth. She grew up in Rock County and attended county school near Luverne and Steen. In 1939 she moved with her family to Hills and graduated from Hills High School in 1942.

Vivian married Vernon Rollag September 27, 1944 in Hills. After their marriage they lived on the family farm near Valley Springs. Vivian also was the Postmaster in Valley Springs for several years and later worked for the Post Office in Brandon.

She was a 70 year member of the Palisade Lutheran Church and WELCA and the Active Generations in Sioux Falls.

Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Ron Rollag, Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Michael (Leah) Rollag, Brandon, and Laura (Casey) Rollag, Tea; great grandsons, Austin, Cael, and Cole; great granddaughters, Kailey, Caylan and Maia; her brother, Roger (Jan) Schneekloth, Sioux Falls; two sisters, Mary Lou (Milton) Eitreim, Minneapolis; Avis (Merle) Amundson, Indianapolis; and special friend, Diane Rollag and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; brother, Robert; sister, Verna Larson; daughter-in-law, Shari; and her parents.
