Joanne Thompson

Joanne Thompson passed away March 12, 2013 at the age of 79 with her children by her side.
Joanne was born August 31, 1933 in Garretson, South Dakota to the late Irene (Sprecher) and Leo Munson. She graduated from Garretson High School in 1951. Joanne married Harold Thompson August 4, 1956 and were blessed with a son and daughter. The family made their home in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Joanne will be laid to rest next to her husband, the late Harold Thompson in Colton, South Dakota.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristi (Brett) Larson, Denver, Colorado; and her son, Jeff (Theresa) Thompson, Chicago, Illinois. Her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Larson, Christopher Thompson, and Michael Thompson will miss her dearly.
Memorial services will begin at 10:30 AM Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Colton. Interment will be in the Colton Cemetery.
