Audrey Irene Schwartz Zeig, 92, of Dell Rapids passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Dells Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 AM Thursday, December 6, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Dell Rapids. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM, the family being present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a Wake service at 6:00 PM Wednesday at Minnehaha Funeral Home in Dell Rapids.

Audrey Irene Schwartz was born December 25, 1919 at Larchwood, Iowa to parents George and Francis (Bornong) Schwartz. She married Joseph R. Zeig on April 15, 1942 in Dell Rapids. The couple resided in Dell Rapids where they raised their family. Joseph passed away September 13, 1989 at the age of 78.

Audrey passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Dell Nursing and Rehab at the age of 92.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Robert (Cheryl) Zeig, Campbell, MN; Earl (Rosemary) Zeig, Scottsdale, AZ; Mary (Larry) Thomas, Albuquerque, NM and Paul Zeig, Sioux Falls, SD; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph and two sons, Larry and Jerry.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Dells Nursing and Rehab Center for Audrey’s excellent care for so many years.
