Randy Larson, 39, passed away at his home near Crooks on Tuesday, November 20, 2012.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 24 at West Nidaros Lutheran Church near Crooks with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday afternoon from 3:00 to 7:00 with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the West Nidaros Church.

Randy Jon Larson, son of Wayne S. and Linda K. (Johnson) Larson, Baltic, was born at Dell Rapids, SD on March 17, 1973. He was baptized and confirmed at West Nidaros. He received his education at Baltic graduating from high school in 1991. He also attended SDSU and Mitchell Technical Institute where he received his Assoc. of Applied Science in Telecommunications degree. He began working for Golden West in Dell Rapids and then later, Baltic Telecom which is currently Alliance Communications where he worked until his death.

Randy enjoyed growing up and working on his family’s farm and helping his father and brothers with planting, harvesting and repairing machinery. He was gifted at fixing, building and repairing. Randy was proud of his children and spent a lot of his time raising and entertaining them with rides on ATV’s, sleds and their outdoor pool. Another highlight of his life was a yearly fall hunting trip with his brother and friends.

Randy is survived by his son, Grant Wayne Larson, and his daughter Lacey Kay Larson (their mother, Julie Hammond and her children, Ann Marie and William) Crooks; his parents, his siblings, Darin (Connie) Larson, his twin, Ryan (Shelly) Larson and Louisa (Jade) Kvale; nieces, Madeline and Meredith Larson, Elin Kvale and nephew, Sutton Larson; his grandmother, Marilyn (Cortland) Johnson, all of Baltic; his aunts and uncles, Gloria (David) Mills, Kent (Cindy) Johnson, Wyn (Char) Johnson, all of Baltic, Merrill (Jane) Larson of Sioux Falls, Becky (Jim) Logue of Elkhorn, NE; and cousins, Matt (April) Mills of Bremerton, WA, Cortney Mills of Miami, FL, Amanda Mills of Los Gatos, CA, Alex Mills of Colton, Kerri Rollag of Baltic, Kelsi Johnson of Sioux Falls, Wyatt Johnson of Crystal, MN, Katie, Ethan, Danya, Kyler Johnson of Baltic, Jason (Earlene) Larson of Brandon, Erin (Nick) Bradley of Elkhorn, NE, Jed (Jessica) Logue of Statesville, NC, Amber (Zach) Link of Elkhorn, NE, Joseph Logue of Elkhorn, NE.

Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Grant and Olga Larson, his grandfather, Cortland Johnson and his uncle, Craig Johnson.
