Alberta M. Pearse

Alberta M. Pearse, 91, of Sioux Falls formerly of Colton died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Sanford USD Medical Center.
Alberta was born in Sioux Falls August 11, 1920 to parents Albert and Clara (Shaffer) Miller. She graduated from Colton High School in 1938 and later attended Business College in Omaha. After employment in Omaha and Sioux Falls, she went to Washington, DC where she worked as a secretary in the Navy and Treasury Departments, U. S. House of Representatives and the Veterans Administration.
Alberta married Gordon Pearse in 1969 and they resided in Alexandria, VA. Gordon passed away in 1979. In 1988 Alberta moved to the Richmond, VA area where she lived until 2000, when she returned to Sioux Falls.
Grateful for having shared her life are her brothers, Vince (Betty) Miller, Duane (Loretta) Miller, all of Sioux Falls and Donald (Kathy) Miller, Alze, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Forrest.
Memorial services will begin at 3:00 PM Monday, August 13, 2012 at the Trail Ridge Retirement Community Chapel, 3408 W. Ralph Rogers Rd, Sioux Falls.
