Kenneth (Kenny) Ray Heesch, age 58, passed away at his home in Sioux Falls, SD on March 23, 2012 of natural causes; after an extensive battle with COPD and Ankylosing Spondylitis. Born January 23rd, 1954 to Nola and Donald Heesch in Sioux Falls, SD, Kenny spent time in his life living in Sioux Falls SD, Germany, San Bernardino CA, and Garretson SD, before settling back into Sioux Falls for his final years.

Kenny served for his country as a member of the Army until his Honorable Discharge in the late 70’s, after which Kenny spent 26 years as an over-the-road truck driver until a diagnosis of COPD left Kenny unable to continue his driving career. When not working or serving Kenny was a dedicated race car driver and placed in many races at Red Devil Speedway in Hartford SD. Kenny also spent a majority of his life as a dedicated member of the NRA and also of the National Hunting and Fishing Association; where he played an active role in his free time by fishing, camping and enjoying the outdoors with his family & many friends. In times where the outdoors were not desired Kenny spent his time with a single furry companion, a Shitzu named Ozzie, declaring their role as devoted fans to the St. Louis Rams!

Kenny was welcomed into his passing by his Mother Nola, Father Donald and brother Dwain Heesch. Also meeting him at his time of passing was his best friend, Ozzie.

Kenny was survived by 3 sons, Shawn Heesch (Wife Kelly and their son Noah), Jason Heesch (Wife Elizabeth and their children Thomas, Jason and Felicity), Kenny Heesch Jr and his family. Survivors also include a sister and brother; Sister Bertie and her husband Ron Frisby (their children Ron Jr and Wayne), and Brother Dennis “Denny” Heesch (his children Mike, John, and Margo), life-long friend Barb, and a multitude of un-named yet very loved people whom Kenny shared his life with.
