Vincent Henry Penning

Vincent Penning, age 78, of Eugene, Oregon, died on Thursday, July 14, 2011, of Natural Causes. A memorial gathering will begin at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 15, 2011, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Garretson.
Vincent was born on November 23, 1932, at Doon, Iowa to Louis and Agnes (Kuhl) Penning. He held a Master of Arts degree from the University of South Dakota. He retired after 35 years of teaching in Huron. He served on the Huron Public Library Board when the library was built in the 1960’s. He was active in the Lions Club, serving as president.
He is survived by a brother, Jay of Springfield, OR; and a sister, Delores Penning of Los Angeles, California.
