Lucille "Lucy" Hein

Lucille “Lucy” Hein, 93, of Baltic died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM Monday, May 9, 2011 at Baltic Lutheran Church, Baltic. Visitation will be from 3-5:00 PM Sunday at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic. Committal service will be 3:00 PM Monday, May 9, 2011 at the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Wessington Springs.

Lucille was born March24, 1918 in Jerauld County near Wessington Springs to parents Nicholas and Anna (Thill) Goergen. She grew up near there and attended country school north of Twins Lakes. She married Victor Hein November 27, 1940 in Woonsocket. After their marriage they lived on a farm in Jerauld County until moving to Baltic in 1975. While lived in Baltic she did babysitting for many years.

Lucille was a member of the Baltic Lutheran Church, a former member of the Baltic American Legion Auxiliary.
She enjoyed Bingo, reading the newspaper and being with her family.

Grateful for having shared her life are her daughters, Shirley Buchholz, Rapids City, Rose (Daryl) Sagness, Sioux Falls, Betty (Larry) Thompson, Baltic; a son, Harold Hein, Baltic; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; a sister, Frances Goethals, Butte, NE; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor and a son, Rodney, and grandson, Seth Sagness,, a son in law, Mike Buchholz two brothers and a sister.
