Florence G. Ronning

Florence Ronning, 94, of Dell Rapids died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Terrace Manor in Dell Rapids.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Lutheran Church of Dell Rapids in Dell Rapids. Burial will be in the East Nidaros Cemetery, rural Baltic. Visitation with the family present will be from 5-7:00 PM Monday at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Dell Rapids.

Florence was born December 7, 1916 at Dell Rapids to parents Henry and Clara (Henderson) Lovlie. She grew up on a farm southeast of Dell Rapids and attended Dell Rapids High School until the death of her mother. After the death of her mother she helped her father on the farm until going to work at Sioux Valley Drug, where she worked for several years.

Florence married Lowell Ronning February 15, 1964 at First Lutheran Church in Sherman. After their marriage they lived on a farm south of Dell Rapids.

Florence was a member of the Lutheran Church of Dell Rapids and the ladies aid.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Lowell, Dell Rapids; a niece, Darnelle (Paul) Nelson; a nephew, Dan Ronning, great niece and nephews, Andrea (Jason) Johanson; Darin (More’e) Ronning, Chad Ronning; Travis (Kathryn) Field, and Trent (Melanie) Field; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Maurice “Bud” and Homer Lovlie and a niece, Vera Ronning.
