Lloyd O. Madison, 66, of Sioux Falls passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM Monday, January 31, 2011 at First Lutheran Church in Colton, SD. Burial will be in the Colton Cemetery.
Visitation with the family present will from 2:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday at Minnehaha Funeral Home, Colton.
Lloyd was born October 2, 1944 in Luverne, MN to parents Orval and Mabel (Josendahl) Madison. He was raised and educated in Luverne, graduating from Luverne High School in 1962. After high school he joined the Army National Guard and worked at various occupations.
Lloyd married Barbara Johnson July 31, 1971 at First Lutheran Church in Colton. They farmed and raised pigs west of Colton for ten years before he become an insurance salesman. Lloyd liked visiting with people and enjoyed meeting new friends.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Barbara, Sioux Falls; son, Bradley (Heather) Madison, Colton; daughter Kayleen (Duncan) Langat, Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, Nathan and Jacob Madison and Jackson Langat; brother, Charles (Lena) Madison, Brandon, SD; sister, Audrey (Ken) Greene, Colorado Springs, CO; and many other relatives and friends.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Merlin.
